The latest in Kabam's growing list of Marvel collaborations is finally here as MARVEL Realm of Champions makes its free-to-play debut today on both the App Store and Google Play as a real-time mobile RPG.

Realm of Champions follows a war-ravaged planet forged together by a variety of realities. These different factions make up the land of the Battleworld and were kept separate until Maestro appeared and merged the different houses in a single realm. The sudden and mysterious death of Maestro brought an end to the one unifying piece the factions held and massive unrest brought the Battleworld to imminent war. To avoid an all out brawl, house leaders agreed to fight a secret war to prevent chaos among the public.

Players can pick from seven playable characters and customize their appearance, weapons, and abilities to form a unique champion. The playable characters are based off iconic Marvel superheroes and include Super Soldier, Web Warrior, Storm, Sorcerer Supreme, Iron Legionnaire, Hulk, and Black Panther. Build up a team to tackle battles with specific playstyles.

Each of the eight factions serve as battle arenas. They also come with a Baron that serves as that region's leader. These include Patriot Garrison (President Peggy Carter), House of Iron (Stark Prime), Kingdom of Wakanda (Queen Shuri), Spider-Guild (Madame Web), Asgardian Republic (War Thor), Pyramid X (Apocalypse), Gamma Horder (Skaar), Temple of Vishanti (The Ancient One).

Four games modes are available at launch. Arena Conquest pits two teams of three against each other as they try to defeat each other's Baron. Deathmatch has three teams of two earning points for defeating other players as they unlock power-ups to upgrade your abilities. Stronghold tasks you with fighting off hordes of enemies as you protect your ISO Core in the center of the map. Similarly, Onslaught pits you against 15 waves of increasingly difficult enemies.

Logging in daily will grant rewards and players can currently start setting up and join player-run alliances. Post launch content for 2021 includes additional gear sets, weapons, and even new champions.

Kabam's MARVEL Contest of Champions recently celebrated its sixth anniversary and will continue to be supported alongside MARVEL Realm of Champions.
