Nintendo also revealed a new Super Mario-themed Switch console, scheduled to release alongside Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury on February 12 for $299.99. The console comes in red with a special red dock, red and blue Joy-Cons and a Super Mario-themed carrying case.
Finally, a new challenge for Super Mario Bros. 35 has been announced, tasking players with defeating 3.5 million Bowsers between 11 p.m. PT on Jan. 18 and 10:59 p.m. PT on Jan. 25. If the goal of 3.5 million Bowsers defeated is reached, any player who defeated at least one Bowser either in normal play or the Special Battle with increased Bowser appearances will earn 350 Platinum points.
